Ma-a NHS in Science Quiz at Brokenshire College

Last Friday was another edition of DepEd Davao City Division Super Science Quiz which was held at the vastly improving Brokenshire College campus. The event was participated by both public and private schools in high school and elementary. Off course, Ma-a NHS went there and participated in the annual event. Two representatives from each year level were sent to compete in the Science Quiz. I am the one who coached our 4th year contestants. It was an exciting event.

The 4th year Science Quiz covers random Physics topics. Contestants must first pass the ellimination round by answering 26-item written exam. The top 20 will advance to the final round where they will be answering questions read orally by the quiz master during the afternoon program. Based on who gets the highest points earned by each contestants, it will determine the grand winner who will represent Davao City in the Regional Science Quiz.

Sadly, none of my two contestants passed the first hurdle. So better luck next year. OH! by the way, speaking of Brokenshire College…. I notice that the school is accelerating its campus development. New buildings are constructed (I’ve heard about 3 or more buildings are on the pipeline) and facilities are upgraded. I have a hunch that they are trying to become a University someday.
