Monfort Bat Cave in Samal

20Aug07

Big Thanx From flickr.com

The largest colony of fruit bats in the world is in Samal. It has a population of 1.8 million. The Monfort Bat Cave in Samal where you can see these bats is already developed for visitors who would want to see the amazing colonies. The place actually is very nice and the cave is well in place for tourists. You will be delighted to see the countless bats which are as numerous as the stars.

From Davao City you can go to the Island Garden City of Samal which is very near from downtown area. You can go there by taking a ferry boat ride or bangka. Samal is one of the Metro Davao Gulf Cities together with Tagum and Panabo which are all component cities of Davao del Norte. Samal boasts numerous tourist attractions and I am going to feature them one by one in my next succeeding posts which I think will make my blog interesting.

This is a video courtesy of youtube.com showing people who went to the Monfort Bat Cave seeing  this hordes of fruit bats. You can see that everybody are awed to the magnificent show of nature. Enjoy!😉
