Davao: The Future City of Talls

The miniature models of buildings which will soon rise in Riverfront Corporate City in Ma-a, Davao City.

I just witnessed first hand the coming of high rise buildings in Davao City. Located at Diversion Road in Ma-a, Riverfront Corporate City or RFC is a vast real estate where corporate businesses will soon flourish. Davao will no longer be a city of midrise buildings. It will soon to become a city of high rise buildings like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur en al with all those dense skyscrapers. The possibility of Davao to go at par with those cities will take a long process say 10 to 20 years, but the coming of Riverfront Corporate City is a good start.

RFC’s land area is so wide and is ready for the upcoming onslaught of building construction which I think will happen in 2 to 3 years from now. The RFC personel whom I got the chance to talk to said that “Davao’s progress is inevitable and that the city is meant to become a city of talls. Riverfront Corporate City is just the beginning of big things to come and many will soon to follow their example“. It is indeed a promising development and I’m sure I’ll keep myself updated with this huge project.

St. Paul College’s building is actually 5 stories high but presently it only has 2 stories. The school is already open for grade school pupils. It is located inside the Riverfront Corporate City.

This building underconstruction must be another structure for St. Paul College. It is a massive sprawling type building located adjacent to the school’s already functional but unfinished edifice.

^^ yup it is…the reason why till now ala pang construction sa other lots because the lot owner needs to pay atleast 50% of the total contract price before they can submit their construction proposal sa Sta Lucia for approval. The whole project started its marketing efforts nung 2004. So barely 3 years pa.
