Malls Of Davao: Victoria Plaza (Interior)

23Sep07

Bargain hunters are flocking at Victoria Plaza to buy cheap books and clothings.

Long ago, Victoria Plaza’s interior was at its best and the mall was home to many classy stores for shoppers. The coolness, the ambiance was excellent and the enjoyment of spending your time shopping, watching movies from one of their 6 cinemas or just hanging around the mall with friends is worthwhile. I remember watching blockbuster movies sitting on the floor in front of the screen whenever the cinema is packed with people. I watched “Twister“, “Titanic“, “Pare Ko” and many more blockbuster movies with my butt on the floor, haha! (those where the days).

Victoria Plaza’s interior still looking good except of course for the quality of tenants inside the mall.

Sadly today, inside is so different. The classy stores are now replaced with cheap ukay ukay stores. Its a one big flea market inside. Gone are the days where rich people go there to unwind, to shop and to have fun at the mall. Now, the place is a haven for bargain hunters looking for some cheap clothings, cell phones etc.

For awhile I thought this is in San Juan Greenhills Virra Mall….. the vast array of stores inside Victoria Plaza.

Oh! This is the place inside the mall that still in top notch condition….. the Food Plaza

Napagitna tong victoria sa dalawang higanteng malls (G-mall, Abreeza). kawawa ang Victoria kapag magbukas na ang Abreeza (Ayala). tsk tsk. kung malugi ang victoria, ibenta na lang nila ang mall. It’s a best place to build a coliseum or sports complex jan sa victoria plaza! hehe
